Recently, the iconic singer expressed her sadness over the trend of remixing songs when Pakistani singer Atif Aslam sang the revamped version of her song, Chalte Chalte. While speaking to a news agency, she said, “And I don’t want to hear it. This trend of remixing old songs saddens me. Where is the creativity in simply lifting acknowledged, beloved classics and shuffling the notes around? I’ve even heard that the lyrics are changed in the remixes. By whose consent?”
Lata sang her first song Janani janambhoohmi from the film Badi Maa in 1945. She is quite active on social media and often wishes her loved ones.
