On February 14, 2019, at least 40 CRPF jawans were martyred in the deadliest terror attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, many Bollywood celebs like Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, the team of Total Dhamaal and others came forward to donate some amount to the families of the martyrs.  Now veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar will reportedly be donating Rs 1 Crore to the Indian Army.

Lata Mangeshkar told Maharashtra Times that she will be donating Rs 1 Crore to the Indian soldiers who sacrifice their lives for the country. On the occasion of her father, Master Dinanath Mangeshkar’s death Anniversary, Lata Mangeshkar will be handing over Rs 1 Crore to Indian Army on April 24. She was quoted by the daily as saying, “Many people in the industry always help soldiers who sacrifice their lives for the nation. Even now, people from the industry are helping out. We have also announced something from our end.” Lata Mangeshkar had also tweeted when the attack had happened a few days back.

She had earlier condemned the Pulwama terror attack and twetted, “जम्मू-कश्मीर के पुलवामा में हुए आतंकी हमले की मैं कड़ी निंदा करती हूँ. इस हमले में जो हमारे वीर जवान शहीद हुए है उनको मैं श्रद्धांजली अर्पित करती हूँ. इन सभी वीरों के परिवारों के दुःख में मैं शामिल हूँ”.

Retaliating to Pulwama terror attack, earlier today, twelve Indian Air Force Mirage-2000 jets crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and destroyed terror camps of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot.

Earlier, addressing a press conference, Foreign Secretary Vijay K Gokhale said the action was specifically targeted at the terrorist camp located on a hilltop. The camp, he said, was at Balakot, about 195 km from Islamabad and over 40 km from Muzaffarabad, in the province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Twelve days after the Pulwama terror attack by Pakistan-backed terror group Jaish-e-Mohammmed (JeM) that killed 40 CRPF jawans, India avenged the dastardly attack by eliminating the biggest terror hideout of the Jaish with an air strike at 3.30 AM on Tuesday.

12 IAF Mirage 2000 went crossed the LoC and dropped 1000 Kgs of bombs at Balakot situated in the northwest of Muzaffarabad.
