Made in China, featuring Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy, is all set to hit the screens a day before the Stree actor celebrates his birthday on August 31, 2019. It will now release on August 30, 2019, instead of August 15.

Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu starrer Mission Mangal, John Abraham’s Batla House and Prabhas starrer Saaho are scheduled to release on the Independence Day. Thus, it seems like the makers have taken the decision to avert the clash.

Interestingly, this year’s hit film Stree, starring Rajkummar, also released around the same time (August 31, 2018), a statement on Wednesday said.

Made in China will be directed by Mikhil Musale and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films.

The film will feature Rajkummar as a struggling Gujarati businessman. Mouni will play his feisty wife. Both the stars will be seen sharing the screen space for the first time.

It will mark the Bollywood debut of Gujarati director Mikhil Musale, whose 2016 thriller-drama Wrong Side Raju bagged the National Award for Best Feature Film in Gujarati.

Rajkummar has some good projects in his kitty. He will be seen sharing the screen space with Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. The trailer will be out on December 27 and the movie is all set to hit the screens on February 1. He is also keeping his figures crossed for Mental Hai Kya which stars Kangana Ranaut. The actor has signed Turram Khan with Hansal Mehta and Luv Ranjan as well.

Mouni made her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar starrrer Gold. She has wrapped up the schedule of Brahmastra that features Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. She will also be seen in John Abraham starrer Romeo Akbar Walter.
