Actress Kangana Ranaut is riding high on success after her film Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi performed well at the box office. It also marked her directorial debut as she helmed the project with filmmaker Krish. Though the film is receiving praises, controversies surrounding it refuse to die. After Krish accused her of taking the credit of the movie, the lady has now reacted to the whole controversy. In her latest interview with Pinkvilla, she stated that some people are trying to damage the film adding that they have to deal with the fact that after 12 years of struggle I am here where I am.

Pinkvilla quoted her saying, “See the credit is there, who says the credit is not there. This back and forth, full name, these are producers’ concern. That’s not something he is not known with it. He has got awards with that name always. People who are not a part of the film anymore are talking about the film. People who have never been interviewed in their lives are giving full page interviews. Whatever said and done, why these questions rising, ‘How come you are here?’ 12 years, that’s enough time for everyone to see why am I here. The answer to that question is I m where I am now, deal with it.”

The actress also lashed out at Bollywood celebs like Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt for not turning up for the special screening of the movie. She said, “After Tanu Weds Manu also I have had so many trials, they would just not come. But when it comes to them, they call me shamelessly; I even sort of cancel my shoots and make sure I attend them. Now, I have stopped because it’s getting too much.”

With Kangana giving fiery response, it seems like the controversy is not going to die down anytime soon.

Manikarnika is bankrolled by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain & Nishant Pitti.

On a related note, she will next be seen sharing the screen space with Rajkummar Rao in Mental Hai Kya.
