One of Bollywood’s most versatile actor Manoj Bajpayee who has done films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Chittagong, Aligarh among others has two National Film Awards, four Filmfare awards and was recently honoured with the Padma Shri. The actor on Wednesday said he is used to the fact that all his films which are highly acclaimed nationally and internationally never get a place in the nomination list of “so-called big mainstream awards”.
Manoj took to his Twitter to share a poster of his 2018 movie Gali Guleiyan and wrote, “So used to the fact that all the films of mine which are highly acclaimed nationally and internationally don’t even get a place in the nominations list of so-called big mainstream awards here, forget about winning. Creative pursuit and exploitation continue! Gali Guleiyan“.
To this, director Sanjay Gupta had a hilarious comment. He wrote, “Bhai kab se keh raha hoon stage par naachna seekh lo. Tum ho ki maante hi nahin…” And Manoj replied, “Hahaha saying in bhojpuri (you cannot tame an adult parrot) !!.” Manoj replied by saying, “Hahaha saying in bhojpuri बूढ सुग्गा पोस ना माने (you can not tame an adult parrot) अब क्या !!”.
The 49-year-old actor’s tweet comes after the nomination list for the 64th Vimal Filmfare Awards 2019 were announced on Tuesday.
