Indian playback singer and composer Sonu Nigam is very well-known for his performances on and off the stage, and for the many Bollywood numbers he has sung. When it comes to singing romantic numbers, nobody can beat him and the soulful way he sings them. The latest number that has been sung by him is Shart from the movie Milan Talkies that has been directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia.
The song, which is about the pain of separation two people in love go through, was written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, with the music composed by Rana Mazumder, and it was based on the characters played by actor Ali Fazal and debutant Shraddha Srinath.
While at the trailer launch, Ali interacted with the media and revealed the significance and importance that the movie holds for him.
“Milan Talkies is a very special film for me. It was a great experience working on this film with Tigmanshu Sir and the entire team. The reaction for the trailer is overwhelming and I can’t wait to show the film to the audience. I strongly believe that there is something very earnest and honest about the film. Eventually, it’s the audiences who decide good and bad. Milan Talkies is a story about stories and told from the grassroots of a common projectionist in a single screen theatre,” Mid-Day quoted him as saying.
Tigmanshu added, “The trailer reaction is overwhelming and I am glad that the audiences liked it. The entire journey of Milan Talkies has been a rollercoaster ride and it is a very emotional moment for the entire cast and crew of the film. I am sure that the audiences will like the film.”
The movie has been written by Dhulia and Kamal Pandey, and apart from Ali and Shraddha, it also stars Ashutosh Rana, Sanjay Mishra, Reecha Sinha and Sikandar Kher. It is scheduled to be released on March 15, 2019.
