Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is currently shooting for his next film Raat Akeli Hai in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur. Everything was going fine on the sets until a crazy fan of the actor came too close to him and wrapped his arms around his neck to take a selfie. Nawaz got scared realising the man ran past the security guards and his bouncers to just take a selfie with him.
As reported by Nawaz’s team, the incident happened in Bithoor where the film’s team had gone to shoot for some extra scenes. As reported by Time of India, the actor was shooting at a police station when a huge crowd gathered to have a glimpse of him. However, one man just broke all the resistance and reached where Nawaz was standing. He immediately got nabbed by the police and was taken away.
The report said, “Sunday had its store of adventure for the crew as Nawaz shot in the Kotwali for the film. As usual, a huge crowd had gathered here too to have a look at the ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ and ‘Badlapur’ actor. A boy among the crowd managed to skirt the bouncers and the policemen surrounding the actor and ran up to Nawaz, put his arms around his neck and tried to click a selfie with him. But the cops on duty quickly apprehended him and took him away from the shoot location.”
Directed by debutant director Honey Trehan, the film has Nawaz playing an Uttar Pradesh Police official who is investigating a murder. Filmmaker and actor Tigmanshu Dhulia is also playing an important role in the film.
The film’s unit was initially shooting at the Lala Lajpat Rai (LLR) Hospital in the Swaroop Nagar area till Friday, February 22. Then on Saturday, February 23, the crew along with Nawaz and the rest of the cast headed to Bithoor, to shoot some more shots. Everything went smooth till then, but, on Sunday, February 24, when the team headed to Kotwali, a shocking event turned up.
