Actress Preity Zinta had alleged in the year 2014 that her business partner and co-owner of the IPL team Kings XI Punjab, molested her and abused her by grabbing her arm at the stadium when she tried to stop him from ridiculing the team members over a ticket distribution issue. Now, with reportedly no efforts from either side to prove their case, the Bombay High Court has asked the two to ‘finish it off’. Both Preity and Ness are willing to end the case, however, the actress wants an apology.
As learnt by PTI, the High Court, on Monday, October 1, asked the two to settle the matter. The petition was heard by Justice Ranjit More and Justice Bharti Dangre. It is also reported that while Ness wanted to finish the case for months now, Preity is adamant to have an apology from him and he has refused to do so. The news mentions Ness’ lawyer, Abad Ponda saying, “We want to bury the hatchet, but my client (Ness Wadia) is not ready to apologise. The complainant (Preity Zinta) wants to extract an apology and get media attention.” To his, Justice More told both the parties, “Just finish it off now”.
On the work front, Preity is gearing up for the release of her upcoming, Bhaiyyaji Superhit, with Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel among others. The actress got married to an American businessman Gene Goodenough in a private traditional Indian wedding ceremony. The couple then threw a lavish wedding reception back home in Mumbai.
