Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap had recently posted on his Twitter page the title of his new movie and who would be starring in it. While sharing the news that the movie would be called Saand Ki Aankh and that it would star actresses Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar, he also added in the text that he was sorry he had faith in Pritish Nandy.

Mysterious though it may sound, media reports suggested that Anurag and Pritish were having a fight over the rights to the title Womaniya, which the former claimed he had Intellectual Property Right of, while the latter said that the title has already been registered by his company.

Anurag had also taken to his Instagram page to share the news and in one of the pictures, he also wrote something about not paying Pritish for the title, and that he can sit on it and wait for it to hatch.

The movie, which is based on the world’s oldest sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar, is set to go on floors. It will be directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Reliance Entertainment, Anurag Kashyap, Nidhi Parmar.

Meanwhile, Pritish has said that he knows nothing about the controversy involving him and Anurag, and that he is making a movie called Womaniya and that is why the title has been registered by his company Pritish Nandy Communications Ltd.

“I know nothing about this. Have not spoken to AK (Anurag Kashyap) in the last 20 years. Yes, we are making a movie called Womaniya and have registered the title for that purpose. The rest is rubbish,” IANS had quoted him as saying.
