After their fairytale wedding in Jodhpur a few days back, newlyweds Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas shared many photos on social media. Each one prettier than the other. Everything seemed merry and there was love in the air until an international publication wrote an article slamming Priyanka, calling her a ‘global scam-artist’. The sexist article accused the actress of luring Nick into marrying her when all he wanted was a ‘fling’. The piece got trolled on social media heavily with even celebs like Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Nick’s brother, Joe Jonas, taking on their respective handles to criticise it. Now, Priyanka’s mother, Dr Madhu Chopra has opened up on the article and the allegations it made.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Mommy Chopra called the writer a ‘fool’ and said that she doesn’t want to give much importance to it. She also said that she’s happy her daughter could marry the one she truly loves and that’s what matters to her the most. She said, “It is a happy phase for our family, and we don’t want to be disturbed by such idiotic things. I am happy that my daughter is married to someone she truly loves. I don’t want to give publicity to those fools. There are some donkeys who do anything they feel like, but their actions don’t affect us”.

Earlier, Priyanka also refused to comment on the matter calling it a frivolous thing. She was at an event in Delhi when she said that she will not let anyone disturb her peace at this point in time in her life. PC said, “I don’t even want to react or comment. It’s not even in my stratosphere. I’m in a happy place at this moment. This kind of random things can’t disturb it”.
