Ranbir Kapoor is currently enjoying the success of his last release – Sanju at the box office. The film has made about Rs 200 crore at the box office. So far, Ranveer Singh‘s act in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat was one of the best of the year so far, but after the release of Sanju, Ranbir’s act was Sanjay Dutt has been appreciated by fans as well as critics. The two are pitted against each other for major award functions of this year. Recently, Ranbir in an interview to Mid-day opened up that he gets inspired by Ranveer Singh.

When Jr Kapoor was asked if it was pompous to compare him with Singh, he said, “But yes, I have a great opponent if I can say so [myself]. When I see his [Ranveer’s] films, I get inspired. He is quite magical on screen. And I think I’ll help him do better. And he will help me do better. There are times when his movies really set cash registers ringing. I would want to beat that. And it’s not only the two of us. There is Varun [Dhawan], Tiger [Shroff], Sushant [Singh Rajput]. When I started out, there were only two or three. Now, there are 15. But I am really excited about this media competition. ”

Ranbir after the success of Sanju also opened up and said that he is keen on working with Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan and Tiger Shroff. He also said that though he and Ranveer have received offers to do a film together, they do not want to do a project which does injustice to either of their acting chops. He said, “We are two actors who have their own sensibilities. We can’t come together just as a project. It has to be liked by both of us, individually. I am really looking forward to working with him and also Varun and Tiger.”
