Trust Ranveer Singh to funk-up the atmosphere of a place, even if it means introducing ace cricketer MS Dhoni on a chat show in his Gully Boy rapper style. Calling him a lightning keeper, capable enough to turn the impossible in his favour, Ranveer narrated the story of what happened when he and Dhoni crossed paths for the first time.

In the teaser of the upcoming episode of the show, Ranveer is seen donning a maroon jersey as he goes back in time and reveals how at the age of 21 years, he landed with the job of an asisstant director, after completing his studies in America. They were shooting for a clothing brand whose brand ambassador was MS Dhoni. Unable to contain his excitement on getting to meet Dhoni that day, Ranveer shared that he ended up on the sets dressed in Indian team’s blue-coloured cricket jersey. That was the first time he got an opportunity to meet his “hero”, his “idol”. Ranveer asserts that he was in awe of Dhoni “not just because of the brilliant cricketer that he is, it’s because of the way he is as a person.”

The teaser was carried by Star Sports India’s Twitter handle and was captioned, “What happened when @RanveerOfficial and @msdhoni crossed paths for the first time? Watch here and catch the whole story on #TheSuperKingsShow, tomorrow at 8 am and 8 pm, only on Star Sports 2/2HD. #VIVOIPLOnStar” (sic).

The video had already clocked over 9k views on the micro-blogging site before the episode was aired.
