Actors Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan have reportedly entered in the most important shooting part of their upcoming film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. The two actors have started filming the climax sequence in which they will be seen performing intense sword-fighting. As reported by Mid-Day, the sequence has been designed by action director Ramazan Bulut, who has worked on Hollywood biggies like Rush (2012) and Inferno (2015). It’s going to be a tiring week-long shoot schedule at a popular studio and both the actors have begun their strict training.

The report mentions that Saif has been especially taking care of his training since the scene has him fighting opposite Ajay, who is known as one of the finest action heroes in Bollywood. It’s a longsword fighting sequence, therefore, a lot of attention is being given on the actors’ stance. The daily also adds that the sequence has Saif’s character Udaybhan Rathod making Ajay’s Tanaji Malsure go defenseless by knocking off the shield from his hand. These crucial details of the sequence have been taken into consideration by Burut.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is based on the epic Battle of Sinhagad in which the Maratha army took over Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s army, led by the Rajput officer Udaybhan Rathod. As mentioned in the legends, the Maratha army was led by Tanhaji Malsure, who showed extreme intelligence in climbing the wall of the Sinhagad Fort, then known as the Kondhana Fort. He and his men used monitor lizard to crawl up the high walls of the fort. While the Marathas won the battle, Tanaji lost his life. However, a great statue was constructed at the fort in the memory of the celebrated warrior.

Earlier, describing his character, Saif told the daily that he is not playing a regular baddie. The actor said that his character comes across as a ‘cool dude’ who just happens to be at the rival side.
