Actor Salman Khan is one of the most influential Khans in Bollywood. Apart from having a terrific Box Office presence, the actor is also known for his quick wit, the strict demeanour and being the only ‘bhai‘ with an ardent fan-following of myriads people across the world. Yet he feels he is just ‘surviving’. In his latest interview with a daily, Salman Khan opened up on his comparison with the other leading Khans in Bollywood – Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. He also talked about how his ‘mediocre’ talent and ‘pure luck’ are helping him go on in the movie business.
While interacting with DNA, Salman mentioned that he doesn’t think he has ‘bigger’ Box Office presence than SRK and Aamir because these actors know their craft. He said that it’s only ‘by the grace of God’ that his films are doing well and therefore, he will never compare himself with the other two big actors. Salman called both Shah Rukh and Aamir ‘legends’ and said that one or two bad movies in their career can’t push them back as they are meant to remain at the fore.
The superstar added that he is worried about himself because he has often heard people saying they are not sure about him. He was quoted by the daily saying, “It is not as if Aamir or Shah Rukh are choosing bad or worse films. There are times when the movies I’ve chosen, to the best of my knowledge, haven’t worked. And then one film works and you’re back.”
Salman Khan went on to say, “I don’t know what I’m surviving on, but I’m surviving. Mere ups and downs toh hote rahenge. By the grace of God, hamari fan following itni tagdi hai.”
The actor is currently working on Dabangg 3, which is slated to hit the screens in December this year. He has got Bharat, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, releasing this Eid. The actor has also signed Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah with Alia Bhatt which is scheduled to release during Eid next year.
