Actor Salman Khan took to social media to call out an event in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. The poster of the event mentioned Salman as the host and his Being Human Foundation as the presenter of the show. The actor posted a picture while disassociating himself with the event. It was reported that the organisers of the show were misusing Salman’s name by charging people for the tickets set at the starting price of Rs 2500. Later, when Salman was informed about the same, he decided to take immediate action. He wrote in the caption of his post: “Neither Being Human Foundation nor me are associated with this event in any way…” (sic)

Celebrities often find their names being misused to extract money from innocent people. The latest incident from Bijnor city in Uttar Pradesh is just one of the examples. Salman has always maintained in the media that his NGO supports the underprivileged, stands up for the needy and doesn’t get involved in a commercial event.

On the work front, the actor is gearing up to bring back Chulbul Pandey on-screen. He has started shooting for the third film in the cop franchise – Dabangg 3. It’s being directed by Prabhudeva while Sonakshi Sinha and Arbaaz Khan retain their popular characters – Rajjo and Makhi, respectively. Malayalam star Kichcha Sudeep plays the character of the main antagonist in the film. The first shoot schedule of Dabangg 3 got completed in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh and now the film’s team is shooting in Maharashtra.

Dabangg 3 is set in Chulbul Pandey’s childhood and his journey of becoming the tough cop Robinhood Pandey, the saviour of the public. The film will deal with both past and present as it will showcase flashbacks from Chulbul’s past and will have him dealing with the baddie in the present. It’s slated to hit the screens on December 20 this year.
