As the buzz around the tinsel town, of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali collaborating with actor Salman Khan, is yet to be confirmed, the Padmaavat director has confirmed to launch a new face in the industry. For his yet-untitled upcoming production, Sanjay has his eyes set on Javed Jaffrey‘s Son Meezan whom he had personally prepped for his entry into Bollywood.

About his entry into the film industry, Meezan told IANS, “Being an actor was not a childhood dream but it was Sanjay sir who not only gave me this dream but also believed in me and made it real by launching me.”


Talking about launching this new talent, Prerna Singh, CEO at Bhansali Productions Pvt Ltd (BPPL), shared, “When I saw Meezaan for the first time in the office, the immediate thought that crossed my mind was such a versatile face. In this exciting phase of the industry, there couldn’t have been a better time but now to launch him. We have signed him for three films and continue our aim at BPPL to give the industry more talent.”

Earlier, it was revealed that Sanjay was busy creating a launchpad for his niece, Sharmin Segal. The girl is gearing up for her Bollywood debut alongside Meezan Jaffrey in a film directed by Mangesh Hadawale.

In relation to Salman-Sanjay collaboration, a daily had quoted a source saying, “Sanjay has been working on three scripts simultaneously and was in talks with several big actors. He has finally decided to go ahead with this one which will be spearheaded by Salman. The other members of the cast will be signed soon. The female lead will be an A-lister and they are looking at a 2020 release.”
