Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju released a week ago. The film directed by Rajkumar Hirani is a biopic based on the life of Sanjay Dutt. The film has been liked by fans thanks to Ranbir’s acting and the story of Dutt’s life that was revealed through the biopic. The film has been doing well since its release day, in fact, the film became the highest opening day grosser as it earned Rs 34.75 Crore on day 1. The film also crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in just three days of its release. Today as the film completes a week at the box office, it has earned Rs 202 crore. The film has also beaten the record created by Aamir Khan’s Dangal.

On day 7, Sanju earned Rs 16.10 crore taking the film’s box office total to Rs 202.51 crore. Taran Adarsh while explaining the box office numbers of Sanju on Twitter wrote, ” #Sanju is 200 NOT OUT… Has an EXTRAORDINARY Week 1… Crosses *lifetime biz* of #3Idiots [₹ 202.47 cr] in 7 days… Fri 34.75 cr, Sat 38.60 cr, Sun 46.71 cr, Mon 25.35 cr, Tue 22.10 cr, Wed 18.90 cr, Thu 16.10 cr. Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju is at par with Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai at the box office more or less. Both TZH and Sanju crossed the Rs 100 crore club in the opening weekend. Though the Salman-Katrina starrer took four days to cross the Rs 150 crore mark, Sanju achieved the same feat in five days. But when it comes to the first week total, both the films crossed the Rs 200 crore mark in a week’s time.
