Sara Ali Khan, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with movie Kedarnath alongside actor Sushant Singh Rajput, recently spoke about being in competition with actress Janhvi Kapoor, and also revealed a special connection that she had with late actress Sridevi. There have been many comparisons between Sara and Janhvi after the latter starred in Dhadak, but things are different for both the young ladies.

In an interview with News18, Sara, who is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, said that she knew comparisons would crop up between her and Janhvi, who is the daughter of Boney Kapoor and Sridevi, but she never tried to compete with her. She said she has known Janhvi for many years and that she is very good at what she does.

Sara also revealed that she is a big fan of Sridevi. She said she had a special connection with her which involved both of them meeting at a party but not being able to talk to one another. She revealed an incident when at the party, Sridevi couldn’t talk to her as she was in conversation with Amitabh Bachchan. Sara said that the late actress just shook her hand, but later called her to tell her that she’s sorry for not being able to talk to her properly at the party. Sara felt touched realising that such an important person called to tell her just that.

Sara further revealed that she is sad she will never be able to share screen space with Sridevi, who she described as being a warm, sweet and loving person.

“I have a special picture, the two of us together, which I have kept with myself,” Sara said in the interview.

The actress also revealed that she is a die-hard fan of Sridevi and that she has watched all her movies. She said that she finds her an inspiration and has tried to copy her style of acting, which is an impossible feat.
