Karan Johar has helmed films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and My Name Is Khan with his dear friend, Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. The filmmaker-actor duo has charted out several box office hits together. However, KJo’s last two films, Student of the Year (in which he introduced Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra) and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (that starred Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan) went onto become huge Box Office hits as well but didn’t star SRK. However, if you’re a fan of them both, worry not as the two are reportedly collaborating for a film soon.
KJo recently disclosed that he is all ready with the script of his next film and will begin work on it in 2019. In an interview with a leading daily, Karan said that he is interested to team up with his bestie SRK on screen. He was quoted as saying, “I just can’t wait to share cinema space with Shah Rukh again. In the last two years, we co-produced films together such as Student of the Year and Dear Zindagi but now I can’t wait to collaborate with him in a full- fledged manner because I know whenever we do something together, it will be extraordinary and amazing.”
Furthermore, Karan said, “Shah Rukh isn’t just a part of my career. He is a part of my life as well. Shah Rukh, Gauri and the kids- Aryan, Suhana and AbRam are my immediate family. I won’t even use the word ‘dosti’. Apart from dad and mum, I consider SRK and Aditya Chopra’s families my other families in the city. They will always be in every part and beat of my life.” However, when the filmmaker/producer was asked if SRK would indeed star in his next film, he said, “Now that I am back from my birthday break, I will take all those decisions, but I know one thing; he has been one of my best experiences in cinema ever and it’s something that I can’t wait to repeat.”
