After delays, Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam had started the shoot of Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The film had hit a roadblock due to producer Prernaa Arora’s financial trouble. Bhushan Kumar decided to step in as a producer for the film directed by Shree Narayan Singh. The shoot began recently, but the film has found itself in a legal tussle yet again.

Bhushan’s company filed a commercial suit against Prernaa Arora’s KriArj and EaseMyTrip.com (headed by Nishant Pitti) in the Delhi High Court seeking a permanent injunction and declaration in respect of certain rights (the right to revenue share) over the film BGMC. On the other hand, EasemyTrip.com through director Nishant Pitti has filed a suit against T-Series and KriArj seeking injunction and declaration of right of first lien over the revenues of the film.

After hearing both the parties, the Delhi High Court has directed both KriArj and EaseMyTrip.com to file their written statements. In addition to this, the court has also asked T-Series to go ahead and complete the movie. Talking about the schedule of the film, Mirror had recently reported saying, “Shahid and Shraddha will be shooting at Tehri and Dehradun for some important sequences till mid- June. After that they are to return to Mumbai to complete the last schedule. The duo is also scheduled to shoot a romantic number in Uttarakhand.”
