Bollywood diva Shraddha Kapoor will be seen opposite Rajkummar Rao in the upcoming horror comedy Stree. Directed by Amar Kaushik and written by Raj and DK, Stree has been shot in Chanderi, a small town in Madhya Pradesh. The movie is said to be a comical take on the folklore narrating tales of witches in the rural areas. Going by the posters and teasers, we can say that Shraddha and Rajkummar are looking quite promising. Recently, in an interview, the Aashiqui 2 actress opened up about working with Rajkummar and said it was a “dream come true” for her.

While speaking to IANS, the actress said, “It’s the first time that I am doing a horror comedy. It was a lot of fun and Rajkummar Rao is such a fantastic actor. To work with him was a dream come true. I got so much to learn from him.” Earlier, when the Newton actor was asked about his experience of working with Shraddha, he told Deccan Chronicle that he had a great time shooting with “hardworking” and “dedicated” actress Shraddha. The leading daily quoted the actor, as saying, “I had a great time shooting with Shraddha. She is very hardworking and a very dedicated actress. We shot in this small town, Chanderi, in Madhya Pradesh.”

While talking about the film, he said, “Stree was fun to shoot. I am still in that MP (Madhya Pradesh) accent zone. It has shaped up really well. It’s my first horror comedy and I am very excited about it.” On a related note, Stree marks the first collaboration of Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. Stree is being produced by Dinesh Vijan under his company Maddock Films. The movie is slated to hit theatres on August 31, 2018.
