Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri and Anupam Kher’s The Accidental Prime Minister have released this Friday. It is yet to be seen if this affects the business of Simmba in coming days.

This is for the first time Rohit has collaborated with Ranveer and the actor was happy that the audience has accepted him in his new avatar. He told India.com, “I had never done this kind of out and out masala entertainer – a kind of movie I had always wanted to do and I gave it my all. I have always considered masala cinema to be the holy grail, the litmus test for a commercial hero and I’m happy to be accepted and loved in this genre. I wanted to bring in my own touch, my own understanding of the commercial masala movie hero. I’m extremely grateful to the audience and the critics for the love they have showered on my performance and on the film.”

On a related note, Ranveer will next be seen in Gully Boy. The film also features Alia Bhatt and is all set to hit the screens on February 14.
