Veteran actress and No Fathers In Kashmir star Soni Razdan was recently out promoting her film when she was asked to comment on actress-daughter Alia Bhatt‘s successful career and personal relationships. Last week, Alia and beau Ranbir Kapoor had won Filmfare’s Best Actress and Actor awards respectively which made a proud Soni put out a congratulatory post for the two on her social media handle but now the veteran actress has a word of caution for Alia.

“Alia is very young. She started working at a very young age. I am very happy with whatever she has achieved so far and as a mother, I want to see her happy. At the same time, I also would give her word of caution. She is too young to rush into any lifetime decision. While personally, I believe that when you find the right man to get married, you should get married without delaying too much. But that does not mean, you have to get married in hurry …You have to draw a fine line while taking a decision,” IANS quoted Soni.

Known to be not so vocal about her daughter’s personal life, Soni said, “Look, it is sweet of all their fans to ask about everything but I am Alia’s mother. I really do not want to talk about my daughter’s personal life. I want her to be happy. And she has my love and blessing on everything she does, beyond that I want her to live her life the way she wants.”

Insisting upon Alia getting a humble upbringing, Soni shared in an interview with India Today, “I did not bring up my child to think that she was a star. If I had treated her any differently, it would have messed everything up. She was brought up normally, like other kids. In a normal house, and it was a normal middle-class life.”

Soni and Alia recently worked together in Meghna Gulzar directorial Raazi, which too won the Best Film award. Talking about featuring together in a movie again, Soni said, “We would be happy to work with each other. Nobody has offered us anything yet.”

On the professional front, Soni is awaiting the release of her movie No Fathers In Kashmir who trailer was recently launched. The actress plays an important role in the film, which talks about the hidden reality of Kashmir. On the other hand, Alia’s upcoming movie, Kalank, launched its title track today which is already climbing up the charts. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar together, the movie stars Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt apart from Alia and is slated to hit the screens on April 17.
