After giving hits like Newton, Bareilly Ki Barfi and Behen Hogi Teri, actor Rajkummar Rao is now gearing up for the upcoming horror comedy Stree. The movie will mark the first collaboration of Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. The Newton actor, who keeps his fans posted about everything, recently treated his fans with the movie’s first look. Taking to his Twitter handle, the actor posted the first look of the movie, writing, “Is 31 August, Mard ko Dard hoga. Stree aa rahi hai!” The intriguing first look poster shows a missing graffiti on the wall with all men painted on it.

Along with the first look, the actor also shared the teaser of the film, which shows a deserted town with all its inhabitants probably have fled their houses. The cameras goes through the lanes with houses placed close to each other and walls having the same message, ‘O stree, kal aana’ which translates to Stree, come tomorrow. Needless to say, the 59-second teaser will keep you all on the edge of your seat. The teaser looks intriguing as it starts with a message that the film Stree is based on a ‘ridiculously’ true phenomenon. It ends with the makers revealing the release date while the shadow of a woman’s body hanging can be seen.

Directed by Amar Kaushik and written by Raj and DK, Stree has been shot in Chanderi, a small town in Madhya Pradesh. The movie is said to be a comical take on the folklore narrating tales of witches in the rural areas. Stree is being produced by Dinesh Vijan under his company Maddock Films. The movie is slated to hit theatres on August 31, 2018.
