Punit Malhotra-directed Student Of The Year 2 has earned Rs 49.37 crore after its five-day run at the Box Office. The Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria starrer fetched Rs 5.02 crore on Tuesday which is decent as per the standards of a regular performance for a film on a weekday. What is surprising is that even after creating a lot of buzz around its release, the Tiger Shroff‘s entertainer hasn’t crossed the benchmark of Rs 50 crore at the ticket window. It will achieve the same feat today though.

Student Of The Year 2, backed by Dharma Productions, garnered Rs 38.83 crore in its first weekend at the Box Office with its opening day collection being Rs 12.06 crore. The film is being enjoyed by the young audience and the ones who liked the ‘student’ franchise with the arrival of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Student Of The Year in the year 2012.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed the latest Box Office figures of SOTY 2 on Twitter and wrote, “#StudentOfTheYear2 shows ordinary trending… Didn’t decline much on Tue [vis-à-vis Mon], but what’s surprising is that it hasn’t crossed ₹ 50 cr yet, even after 5 days… Fri 12.06 cr, Sat 14.02 cr, Sun 12.75 cr, Mon 5.52 cr, Tue 5.02 cr. Total: ₹ 49.37 cr. India biz. #SOTY2” (sic)
