Two years ago, Sunny Leone had mentioned during an interview with a leading daily how she wanted to tell her life’s story to the world and that no one has the right to say how her life should be. Now, the actress is gearing up for the release of Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story of Sunny Leone. Talking about her web series, the actor told, “Actually I didn’t say the story needs to be told, other people told me it’s a story that needs to be told. We want the story to be more than what people are expecting. It’s been an amazing journey.”

Sunny has mentioned in quite a number of interviews how her life story is not a sad one. She also talked about being targetted as someone who instigates rape and how she deals with all the controversies surrounding her. “I don’t see myself as a victim, a soft target maybe. I believe people should have a right to say what they want to. They all had their own journey that they take. Most of the time I brush it off. It’s nonsense. The rational people know it’s nonsense. It gets on my nerves sometimes, does it hurt me, no,” she added.

This is not the first time we will get to know about her life, there was a documentary made on her titled Mostly Sunny, directed by Dilip Mehta which released in 2016. At that point, talking about the release of the documentary in India, the actor said that she did not want it to release in India since it is less of a film on her life and more of “somebody else’s opinion.” The biopic directed by Aditya Datt is a series that will be out in two seasons and consisting of 10 episodes each. Season 1 will premiere on July 16.
