Actors Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi’s upcoming movie Dil Bechara has finally got a release date following its name being changed from Kizie Aur Manny. Recently there had been reports that the two actors and Saif Ali Khan, who has a cameo role, had flown to Paris for filming of the last schedule. Now it has been revealed that the movie will be released towards the end of the year, that is, on November 29, 2019.
The movie, which marks the directorial debut of Mukesh Chhabra, is a Hindi remake of Hollywood film The Fault In Our Stars, which is based on a book of the same title. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh had shared a tweet confirming the release date, with Mukesh also sharing the news on his Instagram page with a caption that read, “Dil Bechara. This November, love will find a way! #DilBechara releases on 29th November, 2019!”
The delay in the movie being released was because the shoot had been in jeopardy when allegations of sexual harassment arose during filming. However, the allegations were cleared up and filming continued.
On the movie being shot in Paris, the Mumbai Mirror had reported that Mukesh did not reveal much only that they shot with Saif at Quai de l’Hotel-de-ville near Montmartre. When asked about not filming a scene at the iconic Eiffel Tower, Mukesh had said, “Shooting there was surreal and no, I didn’t make Sushant and Sanjana dance around the tower.”
On the title of the movie being changed to Dil Bechara, Rucha Pathak, Chief Creative Officer of Fox Star Studios, said that the new title emerged as they were completing the shoot.
“AR Rahman, who is composing the music, shared a vibrant and fun number, with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. When we heard the song, we found our title in it. It perfectly embodies the theme of our film,” she had said.
Mukesh added that the earlier title had been a combination of the names of both Sushant and Sanjana’s characters, but feeling that viewers would not be able to connect with it immediately, they changed it to Dil Bechara.
