Tanishaa Mukerji who was recently in New York to attend CRY America charity gala claimed that she faced racism by an employee at a hotel.
The actor claimed that she went to the hotel along with her friends to attend a party only to get racist comments by African-American employee there.
Mid Day quoted the actor as saying, “I don’t understand what triggered it as I was polite, but he turned rude. One of the employees, an African-American, said that we looked as if we were fresh off the boat and couldn’t speak English. That was insulting and blatantly racist. My friends and I were shocked. It’s traumatic to experience this kind of racism in the US; I have never faced it earlier”.
The actress even took to Twitter to share her ‘traumatic’ experience and wrote, “Shiftiest place ever.! Racist horrible people”.
