Tanushree Dutta is finally receiving support from Bollywood stars for the sexual harassment allegations she has put against Nana Patekar. After Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan dodged the questions, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, and Swara Bhasker among others have come out to speak on the matter, stating that the actress needs to be believed. However, seems like Priyanka’s tweet hasn’t gone down well with Tanushree. Especially, the ‘#BelieveSurvivors’ bit. Talking to Zoom, Tanushree said that she’s glad celebs, especially actresses are coming forward to talk about the existence of sexual harassment in the industry. She also called their decision to tweet a ‘smart one.’
Tanushree said, “Well, it’s amazing. She (Priyanka) has finally decided to join the bandwagon. It’s probably a smart thing to do at this point in time. But I just want people to know that I am not going to be reduced to a survivor. I have a name, I have a story and I have this truth that I am trying to get out because it’s not for me but for people who will come forward in the generations to come”.

Earlier, while retweeting Farhan Akhtar‘s post made in support of Tanushree, Priyanka wrote, “Agreed..the world needs to #BelieveSurviviors”
Commenting on the same, Tanushree added, “In the new future we’ll have cases coming forward. So let’s not generalise this thing. There are people who are genuinely supporting me and those are the people who I would like to focus on. But ya, thanks to each and every person who tweeted. It’s great”!
Meanwhile, accused Nana Patekar has maintained that Tanushree can say whatever she wants to and he will now take a legal action to end this controversy. He has also demanded an apology from the actress.
