After his stint in Student Of The Year 2, actor Tiger Shroff has got three big films in his kitty – the YRF film with Hrithik Roshan, Baaghi 3 and the Hindi adaptation of Sylvester Stallone’s Rambo. As reported by news daily, the actor will hop on to shoot the Rambo film from January next year. Talking to Mumbai Mirror in his latest interview, the director of the film – Siddharth Anand revealed that they are eyeing October 2, 2020 – Gandhi Jayanti as the release date of the film.
Siddharth is also directing Tiger in the yet-to-be-titled action drama with Hrithik. Speaking to the daily, he mentioned that he is currently focusing on completing his YRF film and they will begin prepping up for the Rambo remake in September this year. The director was quoted saying, “After I complete my current film with Tiger and Hrithik (Roshan), I will start prepping for Rambo from September. Tiger will begin his prep from November-December” He added that they are going to shoot for the film both in India and abroad and the recce will begin soon.
He also talked about the action in the film and how its story is based on Indian politics. Siddharth said he doesn’t believe in having the action in his film without any cause or emotions. Therefore, Tiger will be seen performing some larger-than-life action on-screen but there is a back story to it that will ‘resonate with our audience’. He said, “Of course, the action will be big but like Steven Spielberg once said, ‘if it’s action without emotions the audience watches dispassionately’. So, the emotions need to be in sync with the action.”
Meanwhile, Tiger has also got the third installment in the Baaghi franchise to begin soon. The actor is reuniting with his Baaghi (2016) co-star Shraddha Kapoor in this Sajid Nadiadwala-production. The shooting of the film is expected to begin in July this year as the film is slated to hit the screens on March 6, 2020.
