Actor Varun Dhawan has piqued everyone’s interest when he recently spoke about marrying his longtime girlfriend and designer Natasha Dalal, with reports even suggesting that he is set to tie the knot with her in December. While no other information about their impending nuptials was revealed, it has emerged that Natasha already has a destination in mind where she wants the ceremonies to take place.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, there seems to be a disagreement between Natasha and Varun’s parents David and Laali Dhawan over the venue for the wedding. While Natasha would like to hold the marriage on a beach in the Maldives, David and Laali want to have the ceremonies in India as they feel a destination wedding would be too much for them to handle.

Whether they will be able to iron it out remains to be seen, though the three of them, minus Varun, who is busy shooting for his film Street Dancer 3D, did attend Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding together.

Varun, on the other hand, had opened up about his relationship when he appeared on an episode of Koffee with Karan season 6. During the short clip, he spoke about what makes him and Natasha compatible as a couple.

“Where me and Natasha are concerned, I think, eventually, after we get married, we are together all that stuff, she has to, she has her own individuality. That’s why I’m with her because she has her own individuality, she has her own voice which is super strong with things she wants to do and things she wants to achieve in life. And, as her partner, that is something I want to support, you know. And, she has been so supportive where my career is concerned, always, from day one actually,” he said.

“Because I have known her, we were in school together. We were just friends, we weren’t dating then. But since day one she has been supportive of my dreams and it has to be the same. It has to be equal from my side. From my side, I have to be supportive of her dreams also, or what she wants to achieve, or what she likes. Eventually, I think as a couple you want to evolve together,” he added.

On the work front, Varun is gearing up for his upcoming film Kalank. Directed by Abhishek Varman, the movie is set in the 40s during the time of partition and it also features Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha in important roles.
