Boxing her way into teenage, Bollywood hunk Farhan Akhtar‘s daughter Akira Akhtar turned a year older on Wednesday and the filmmaker wished her in ‘Toofan‘ style. Sharing an awwdorable picture of his little munchkin, Farhan was evidently too excited to welcome his Akira into “teenage years”.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Farhan shared the picture featuring a bespectacled Akira wearing pink boxing gloves and flashing a million-dollar smile for the camera. He captioned the picture with a heart-melting wish that read, “Bring on them teenage years .. Happy birthday Akira. Love you more than you know.. @akiraakhtar (sic).”
While the model, Shibani Dandekar dating Farhan is old news, it was her sister, VJ Anusha’s birthday wish for Akira that got fans excited. Leaving one and all speculating whether Akira refers to Shibani as “Monster” or “Gangsta”, Anusha wished her commenting, “Happy birthday Akira, have the most magical day, love Monster, Gangsta and me… @akiraakhtar (sic).”
As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, Farhan and Shibani were expected to get married by the end of 2020. However, now, a source close to the couple has hinted that the two have begun their preparations and the wedding bells could ring sooner than expected.
The source also claims that the initial plans regarding the wedding were designed keeping in mind Farhan’s next release – Toofan that hits the screens on October 2. However, both the sides have decided to pull up the wedding date and the couple will be seen married before the end of the year. The source was quoted saying, “The plan is to get married towards the year-end, after the release of Farhan’s next, Toofan. But they might spring a surprise by tying the knot earlier than that. The final date is yet to be decided but Farhan and Shibani have begun preparations for the big day.”
On the professional front, Farhan Akhtar is currently shooting for his upcoming sports drama, Toofan, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Farhan is leaving no stone unturned as he preps for his upcoming movie. Interestingly, Toofan is reuniting Farhan with ROP with whom the actor gave one of the most remembered performances of his career in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. The film also features Paresh Rawal in the role of Farhan’s coach. Actors Mrunal Thakur and Isha Talwar also play important roles in the film.
