Priyanka Chopra and Siddharth Chopra‘s mother, Madhu Chopra finally revealed that her son’s wedding with Ishita Kumar has been called off. She talked to a news portal and mentioned that it’s a mutual decision taken between the two who first decided to spend their lives together. Mommy Chopra, however, refused to reveal the reason behind their decision and maintained that it’s something that’s personal to Siddharth and Ishita.

The portal quoted Dr Chopra putting an end to all the speculations by saying, “They (Siddharth and Ishita) have mutually called it off.” Earlier, when asked about the reported postponement in the wedding, the mother of two told a daily that Ishita had to undergo emergency surgery and therefore, the wedding had to get delayed. Even Ishita herself made an Instagram post and revealed that she had to undergo surgery. The caption on her post read, “Recovering from surgery 💉🤯 Very painful but glad it’s over 🙏” (sic)

The speculations started when Priyanka left the country during the weekend in which her brother was scheduled to get married. Her early exit added fuel to the fire and rumours starting surfacing regarding the possible rift between the families of the groom and the bride. However, PC went to the US and attended the wedding of her brother-in-law Joe Jonas with Sophie Turner a few days later.

It was observed that Ishita deleted all the posts that had Siddharth Chopra posing with her. In fact, another post hinted that she decided to move on in life. The caption on that post mentioned ‘endings’. It read, “Cheers to new beginnings🥂
With a goodbye kiss to beautiful endings 🌺” (sic)

The comments on Ishita’s post added to the entire issue. Her post received many comments in which people asked her to ‘stay strong’ and forget the past.

Notably, Siddharth had announced his wedding with another girl back in the year 2014 as well. Unfortunately, that relationship also met the same fate as the wedding was called off a few days after the Roka ceremony and no official reason was given from either side.
