Actors Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s movie Zero is very much awaited by moviegoers and fans alike, and from the posters, teasers and trailer, it looks like it is going to be a winner. Anushka, who plays a scientist who’s suffering from cerebral palsy, spoke about the making of the song Mere Naam Tu from the movie. She said when she asked to wear a night-suit for the entire song, she felt very comfortable that is until they brought out the water.
Mera Naam Tu showcases the charming Bauua Singh, played by Shah Rukh, trying to make Aafia Bhinder, played by Anushka, feel special. The song starts off with Anushka sitting in a wheelchair in her pyjamas as Shah Rukh serenades. Anushka said it was the best time of her life, as she was in the most comfortable costume of her life. The music for the song was composed by Ajay-Atul, sung by Abhay Jodhpurkar, and the lyrics were written by Irshad Kamil.
In an interview, Anushka spoke about the making of the song Mere Naam Tu and said that she enjoyed it immensely as she was shooting in her night-suit for a good 14 days. And from the clip, we can see the effort that has been put into the making of the song.
Zero is about the love story of a character named Bauua Singh, a dwarf from Meerut, who finds a companion in Aafia, a NASA scientist with cerebral palsy. He however meets leading superstar Babita, played by Katrina Kaif, and he falls in love with her too.
The movie has been directed by Aanand L. Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma, and it was jointly produced by Colour Yellow Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment’s Gauri Khan. It also marks the last film appearance of Sridevi, who died shortly after completing it. Zero is set to be released on December 21.
