Shakti Kapoor has returned to India after spending a few days in the US to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi there. As soon as the actor landed back, he was asked to comment on the ongoing Tanushree Dutta –  Nana Patekar controversy. The actor, as reported by ANI, laughed off the entire issue and mentioned in a jest that he was a ‘kid’ back in 2008 when the incident allegedly happened on the sets of Nana’s film, Horn ‘OK’ Pleasss.

Shakti said, “I have just returned from the US yesterday, I had been there for Ganpati Bappa’s pooja. I don’t know anything about this case”. When he was told about the matter in detail, he laughed it off and added, “This was ten years back, I was a kid back then”.

With this statement, Mr Kapoor has joined the bandwagon of the Bollywood celebs who have chosen to keep mum on the issue. On social media though, several other prominent faces from the industry have come out to show support to Tanushree for the sexual harassment allegation she has made against Nana Patekar.

Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Swara Bhasker, Richa Chadha, and Anurag Kashyap among others have tweeted their support to Tanushree.

Latest Update in The Case:

While Nana’s lawyer, Rajendra Shirodkar, has maintained that he has sent a legal notice to Tanushree in the matter, the actress has denied the claim. In her statement to DNA, she mentioned that she herself is waiting for the notice but hasn’t received it yet. She said, “I want them to send the notice. But where is it? He must have made it and shared photocopies of it with the media but he’s definitely not sent it to me. They are just pulling a bluff and con to stop other people from coming forward. Nana has behaved objectionably with many others, too”.
