After actress Sri Reddy took to the streets for her bold protest against the casting couch in Telugu Film Industry, there has been some ugly revelations coming out in the open. She named a lot of big wigs from the TFI and at a recent JanaSena meet, Pawan Kalyan talked about the issue and said that she should go to the cops instead of protesting on the streets. While his comment and suggestion was welcomed by Sri Reddy at first, she later got abusive with the power star. She was massively trolled by Pawan Kalyan’s fans, post which she shared a video where she is abusing the superstar.
The backlash only increased post this reaction by the actress with not just PK fans but also film industry condemning her use of words. Now, actor-producer and brother of Pawan Kalyan, and Chiranjeevi – Nagendra Babu aka Naga Babu, has lashed out at the actress at a press meet held on Wednesday in Hyderabad. Talking about the sexual exploitation of women in Tollywood, Naga Babu said that the industry has always respected women and it should not get a bad name just because of the deeds of some people.
However, he did agree that women artists have had to face challenges at work and there have been instances where the work environment wasn’t favourable. Naga Babu didn’t approve of Sri Reddy’s abusive language for his brother Pawan Kalyan and said that the power star knew abuses would be hurled against him and he was ready to face it he is strong. But he warned that they (the family) are silent because they are strong and that their silence shouldn’t be mistaken as their weakness.
Below is the video where Naga Babu is addressing the media and talking about Sri Reddy:
Meanwhile, actress Maadhavi Latha staged a protest today in Hyderabad, where she took a ‘maun vrat’ and through her posts, she hinted at how Pawan Kalyan knows everything about the casting couch and is yet not saying anything. She also alleged that even she knows a lot about a lot of people in power, but she is not saying anything since she believes the truth will come out very soon. The actress was also arrested by the cops and taken to the Banjara Hills police station briefly, so that she ends the protest.
