Shahir, who got engaged to his girlfriend in October this year, has tied the knot with fiancé Jamia Zaheer today in a low-key affair. Earlier there were rumours doing the rounds that the newlywed couple would get married in January of 2018, however, they remained tight-lipped about their wedding plans. The couple was looking super adorable at their wedding. While the bride sported a red silk saree for the special function, the groom looked dapper in an Indo-Western dress. On the professional front, Jamia Zaheer is a marketing professional in Kozhikode, Shahir has acted in several films since 2013. Soubin Shahir is gearing up for his upcoming film, the actor has been busy with the shoot since the past one-and-half months. The actor is all set to step into the shoes of a lead actor with an upcoming film, titled as Sudani From Nigeria.
Shahir, who started his career as an assistant director in the industry with Siddique’s Chronic Bachelor in 2003, assisted directors like Fazil, Siddique, Rafi-Mecartin, P Sukumar, Santhosh Sivan, Rajeev Ravi, and Amal Neerad. With Parava, Shahir debuted as a film-maker and made his acting debut in Fazil’s Kaiyethum Doorath (2002), while working as an assistant director. However, he got his major breakthrough with Nivin Pauly’s Premam, which released in 2015. He essayed the funny character of a PT master in the Malayalam blockbuster.
