Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s Padmaavat has crossed the Rs 500 crore mark. Needless to say, everyone associated with the film, is on cloud 9 and can’t stop basking in the glory of the its success. Each of the actors, Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini, Shahid Kapoor as Maha Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, have enthralled the audiences with their mind blowing performances. Deepika and Ranveer Singh have worked with Bhansali in three back-to-back films— Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and now Padmaavat and each of them hashad an impressive run at the Box Office. In fact, in an interview with DNA, Bhansali had said that he isn’t yet done with them. So does this mean that his next film will star the hit couple?

Well, we don’t know about the couple, but Bhansali does seem very keen on working with Deepika real soon. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, the ace director said, “There is a lot more to her. Lots! Deepika is one of the finest artistes I’ve worked with. Such thehrao and such grace! She never surrenders to melodrama even when there is ample temptation to do so. Look at her speech in front of the women before they commit jauhar. Such control, restraint and so much emotive power without tripping over. I was so overwhelmed by how she handled that scene; I gave her a 500-rupee note after she finished the scene. I am sure that token of my appreciation is more valuable and precious to her than the entire remuneration she got for the film.” Talk about being impressed and how!

Not just that, he even mentioned how he sees glimpses of three iconic actresses in Deepika. “From some angles she reminds me of Vyjanthimalaji. Sometimes she reminds me of Hemaji. And the grace with which she has performed the Ghoomar dance reminds me of Waheedaji. I strongly believe Deepika has the potential to join the ranks of our legendary actresses.” Would you agree with Bhansali on this? Let us know in the comments’ section below.
