Aamir Khan has come out with the second song from Dangal and it is called Dhaakad! Well, everything from its beats to the picturization of the song scream AWESOME and we are totally loving the song. Sung by Raaftaar and composed by Pritam, this song is truly dedicated to all women in the country who have been underestimated by the society only because of their gender. Aamir Khan, in this song, assumes the role of a proud father as he sees his daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat (played wonderfully well by Fatima Sana Shaikh and Zaira Wasim) beat up all the local male wrestlers and emerge victoriously. It also traces their journey from being local wrestlers to world champions.
Aamir is in his true element as he plays Mahavir Phogat with conviction. You can literally see the pride and affection in his eyes as he trains his daughters to wrestle expertly. Amitabh Bhattacharya has done a great job with the lyrics of the song and Raaftaar brings in the rustic flavour with his voice. We think that the song and catchy AF and will soon be a chartbuster, just like the first song of Dangal: Haanikarak Bapu. We love, love, love this track. Listen to it and tell us if you do too. Dangal, starring Aamir Khan as a real life inspiring Mahavir Phogat, will release on December 23 and is all set to end the year with BANG. It has already created positive buzz and will probably even beat Salman Khan’s Sultan. Check out the full song down below and tell us what you think of it.
Speaking to DNA, a source close to the film had said, “Dhakkad means powerful and the makers want to dedicate this song to the daughters of India. The song showcases the young girls wrestling with heavily built men and winning over them with ease.”
