Deepa Mirza, the beautiful mother of Bollywood actress Dia Mirza, recently posted a video on her Instagram account where the two are seen directing the boat they are sailing in. While Dia takes to the wheel, Deepa is heard guiding the directions in a light-hearted manner.

The two can be seen donning simple yet elegant slip-on dresses, perfect for the relaxing at the sea. Both have let down their hair in the mild breeze. Dia puts on a serious face, though not for long, as she concentrates on the waves ahead to steer clear her boat and takes the route that the actual guide tells her instead of listening to her mother’s suggestion to head straight on the path from where they were set.

The mother-daughter duo is heard telling the guide (who is not seen in the video) about how this is not Dia’s first time at that location and confirm that the actress had been there earlier for a shoot. Like a typical mother, Deepa asks the guide about her little daughter’s performance behind the wheel to which he replies, “Good Captain.”

It is no wonder then that the proud mother, who is seen throughout keeping a safe hand-guard on the former Miss Asia Pacific’s shoulders, posts this video with the same compliment, in the caption box of the video.

A week ago, Dia had posted on her Instagram handle about not feeling well and running off in the lap of nature in Kerala, to recover fully. Sharing a video from the location she captioned it, “My body has been giving me signals to take a break. Have been suffering from vertigo and tinnitus for months. Taking time out so I can heal – mind, body and soul. This time away, close to nature will not just give me a chance to heal but will also give me the strength to take on all the challenges I care deeply about 🙏🏻❤️ Listening to your body is most important. Everything else will follow. #BirthdayMonth #GiftToSelf #HealthIsWealth.”

On the professional front, Dia recently starred in Bollywood’s biggest blockbuster, Sanju, opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Apart from making a career in the industry, Dia is regularly seen campaigning for the protection of wildlife and nature.

The cause to protect the elephants is close to her heart and the diva is seen creating aggressive awareness for the same through her campaigns for the Wildlife Trust of India.
