Shah Rukh Khan and his company Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd are all set to launch the second trailer, or what could be called the sneak peek, of their latest movie Dilwale. We have exclusive news that the new promotional video of Dilwale will be revealed by Shah Rukh Khan and director Rohit Shetty at Mumbai’s PVR Icon (previously Cinemax Versova) theatre in Andheri West on Friday, December 11, exactly a week before the release date of Dilwale on December 18. So, get set for Shah Rukh Khan’s marketing blitzkrieg for Dilwale starting tomorrow!

Shah Rukh Khan has been known to be a marketing genius in Bollywood and his movie campaign have been case studies in business schools. Every move of his and every word spoken is followed by fans and the media. But for Dilwale, Shah Rukh decided to do something special. His publicist reveals that instead of having a conventional eight to 12 weeks’ promotional campaign for a movie that was pioneered by him, SRK this time decided to have a 20-day marketing extravaganza. This is how the Dilwale campaign has panned out until now:

The Dilwale First Look and Dilwale trailer were revealed, the latter at a flashy event at PVR Icon, giving the audience an idea of what the film looks like. This was for first impressions and did not reveal anything more. Next, the wonderful song Gerua was released. Audiences couldn’t get enough of the most romantic pair of Bollywood – Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in a beautiful song!

Young stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, who star in Dilwale, got their chance now. Their song Manma Emotion Jaage was launched at a five-star hotel in Mumbai, with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol being present to support the young guns. They even clicked selfies and posted on social media from the event!

Shah Rukh Khan had already by then given a hint to another song from Dilwale coming soon. It was time for Janam Janam. This intense and soulful romantic song showed Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in a different light than Gerua.

The Making of Gerua video was released soon after to bring the audience back to the chartbuster. The team then shared the Making of Dilwale with the action sequences. With the Rohit Shetty brand of filmmaking, there are flying cars and dangerous stunts. This video shows how they were shot.

Especially for the Media: Journalists from all over India were invited to Hyderabad for a Dilwale shoot for them to see parts of how the film was made, first hand. It was an exhilarating experience.

So, what’s coming on December 11? It’s a chunk of Dilwale never seen before! It is “the next big piece which will further explain what the film is about” before its release on December 18, says the Dilwale team. Watch this space for it tomorrow!
