Sonam Kapoor has been hogging the limelight off late – for all the right reasons. Be it her wedding, her sartorial choices at Cannes 2018, her films’ trailers – Sanju and Veere Di Wedding and her stylish outings while promoting Veere. And now, we have brand new dope on Sonam’s next post Veere. The film is all set to hit screens in June 1, followed by Sanju in June 29. But between these, we will get to see the glimpse of her next film – Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga.

Sonam stars with her father Anil Kapoor in the film for the first time and she has already shot for a grand schedule of the film earlier this year. India.com has learnt that the trailer is now ready and some peeps from the film fraternity have already seen it and loved it. Some final edits are left on it before it gets ready to release for the public. Our source reveals, “The Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga trailer is ready and Vidhu and Shelly have shown it to few of their friends from the industry and they have given it thumbs up. Sonam has been busy and therefore hasn’t got the chance to watch it as yet. But she has been hearing good things about the trailer as well and therefore she is very excited about the same. The trailer will be out in mid-June.”

The source further revealed that what makes this trailer special for Sonam is that this is her film in the true sense. While Sanju is a story that revolves around the male lead, Veere Di Wedding has her share screen space with three more talented actresses. But Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga has her play the female lead and therefore the focus will be on her.

Interestingly, Sonam’s Sanju is also produced by Vidhu and therefore, it may not be surprising to see ELKDTAL trailer attached to the Ranbir Kapoor starrer.

For the uninitiated, the film stars Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla as well and gets its name from a song (same as the title) in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s directorial 1942 A Love Story, also starring Anil and Manisha Koirala. Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is being directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar and produced by Vidhu and is slated for a October 12 release date. This is just a week before cousin Arjun Kapoor’s Namaste England hits screens on the Dusshera weekend on October 19.
