Television hottie Gautam Rode, who shot to fame with Star Plus’ popular serial Saraswatichandra and has starred in a few successful male-dominated shows like Mahakumbh and Suryaputra Karn, among others, is all set to tie the knot. Yes, you heard it right. The actor, in a statement to Times of India, has said that he will be settling down soon. This 40-year-old actor, who is rumoured to be dating his Suryaputra Karn co-star Pakhuri Awasthy, is one of the most eligible bachelors of television and the news that marriage is on cards soon for the actor will certainly break the hearts of his female fans.

In a statement to Times of India, Gautam said, “I will be settling down soon. I am not saying I am seeing someone. I will officially come out with a statement soon. Let things go forward and come to marriage. Just seeing someone and painting the town red is not my type, if I am getting married I will announce it which I am going to. I will get married next year abhi toh kar leni chahiye warna gaadi choot jaayegi yaar…” (laughs). Gautam Rode will soon be seen in an Indian thriller Aksar 2 alongside actress Zareen Khan. The actor is currently on a promotional spree as the film is slated to release soon. Aksar 2, which is a sequel to 2006 film Aksar, is helmed by Ananth Mahadevan. Besides Gautam, the sequel features Zareen Khan, Mohit Madaan and Abhinav Shukla in pivotal roles. The 2006 film featured Emraan Hashmi and Udita Goswami; the films had some very popular Himesh Reshammiya songs.
