Digital entertainment platform Hotstar has cancelled the production of the third season of On Air with AIB in light of sexual misconduct allegations against one of the members of the group. In a statement shared on social media, Hotstar stated that ‘it will not stand by anything that compromises the respect or safety of women’.
The statement reads, “We are deeply concerned by these developments, which run contrary to our values as a responsible platform, and will not stand by anything that compromises the respect or safety of women.”

Tanmay Bhat, Co-Founder of AIB, ‘temporarily’ stepped away from his association with the company following the sexual harassment allegations against comedian Utsav Chakraborty. The comedy group, in its official a statement, said that will no longer be involved in the day-to-day functioning of the company.
Another member of the team, Gursimran Khamba, has also been sent on a temporary leave for a few days until further notice and till the company gets more clarity on the matter.

In an earlier statement, the group admitted that Tanmay was aware of Utsav’s action and he even confronted him but didn’t take any action.

Lately, AIB also asked its co-founder Tanmay Bhat to step down over the sexual allegations that were levelled against comedian Utsav Chakraborty. Bhat is facing allegations of not taking any action against Utsav Chakraborty- YouTuber and ex-AIB member, who has been accused of sexual assault. Not only this, Gursimran Khamba, has also been sent on a temporary leave for a few days until further notice and till the company gets more clarity on the matter.
