IIFA 2017 is sure going to be one of the most memorable award shows for all Bollywood stars. The night was too happening in positive as well as the negative ways. While the award show gave audience some of the most cherished performances, it also was a huge turn off due to the ‘nepotism’ remark made by the hosts Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan and Saif Ali Khan. Now the award show is receiving more flak post the ‘misleading’ advertising gimmicks about the award show, only to attract the fans.

According to the reports in an entertainment portal, the people who attended the award show are asking for refund. They claimed that the show organizers distributed pamphlets and ads that showed the popular faces like Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Julia Roberts and Matt Damon. There was also line written that read ‘when Hollywood meets Bollywood’ on it. Not only this, it also had claimed that Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will perform on the ‘same’ stage.
Well, the organizers played it safe by posting a thin disclaimer below it that read, “All images used in this document are for representation purposes and we don’t claim the presence of these individuals at the event unless the same is advertised on our website.” However, this disclaimer was not clearly visible and could not even be read by the people. On the other hand, the lip sync issue was also raised during Diljit Dosanjh’s 8-minute- long concert.
