That Karan Johar and Abhishek Bachchan are good friends is no secret, but do you know that Karan dislikes Holi because of Bachchan Jr? While speaking to a leading tabloid, Karan shared a childhood memory of the festival of colours, which ruined it for him forever. KJo narrated, “When I was seven, the kids in my colony ran behind me to put silver colour paint on me. Trying to save myself, I fell down and got hurt, and ended up in a fight with the other kids.”
He then went on to narrate what happened when he had gone to the Bachchan’s to play Holi—an experience that ruined the festival for him. The director said, “I fondly remember visiting Amitji’s house for Holi when I was 10. I told him why I feared the festival so much. That’s when Abhishek came inside the room, picked me up and threw me in a pool of coloured water. That was the end of my love for Holi and I haven’t played ever since.”
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Karan Johar was last seen in Welcome to New York, that released last week. Although the film tanked at the Box Office, his performance in the film was widely appreciated. Apart from this, he is producing Dhadak, the Hindi adaptation of the popular Marathi film, Sairat that features Jahnvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in the lead. Apart from this, he is also producing Varun Dhawan starrer Ranbhoomi and Tiger Shroff starrer Student of the Year 2.
