JK Rowling in a featurette about the forthcoming film, ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ introduced her new hero Newt Scamander who is set on journey to America scouting fantastic beasts so that he can write about them in Hogwarts text books. Eddie Redmayne’s play the new hero Newt Scamander.

The trailers of the movie has already making us wish November should be here soon. JK Rowling after authoring books, this movie will be her debut as screenwriter. In trailer you might not see many of those fantastic creature but the featurette takes care of that showing a praying mantis-like plant creature and few other additions to the magical universe. (ALSO READ: J.K. In the featurette Redmayne speaking about Newt says,”Newt feels more at home with creatures than he does with human beings.” Newt lands up in America for the first time, where they have strict laws against magic, and his journey moves ahead as he accidentaly reveals about magic to muggler he meets.

Rowling has always had a knack for characters different than the others and Newt Scamander looks like one. He is searching his ways in a society which he doesn’t understands basically. Playing Scamander as an outsider is challenging for Eddie and that is exactly what Rowling intended to. “My heroes are always people who feel themselves to be set apart, stigmatized or othered,” said Rowling in the video.
