There are no films in common between John Abraham and Shahid Kapoor, except for the fact that the two are working on films that was being bankrolled by the same production company, KriArj Entertainment. However, the company has been undergoing a lot of financial irregularities due to which it has suffered quite a bad name in the industry. They have been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons ever since Sara Ali Khan’s debut film, Kedarnath was stalled due to a legal battle between the director Abhishek Kapoor, and them.
Well since then it has only been downhill for the production house. Well, now KriArj is not just out of Shahid Kapoor’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu, but it’s co-producer T-Series has reportedly taken over production rights over it. At this time, Dhoom actor John, who himself has been fighting KriArj in \ court over his film, Parmanu : The Story of Pokhran made a friendly call to Shahid, only to warn him of the issues working with the production house in question.
DNA quoted a source as saying, “John, who was then in the midst of his legal battle with KriArj over Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran, told Shahid to be careful about whatever moves he made in lieu of BGMC. Besides talking about their respective films with the then common producer, Shahid appreciated the fact that John called on him.” Now isn’t that sweet—a friend looking out for another. In the meantime, after much delay, Parmanu is slated to hit screens on May 25, 2018. Batti Gul Meter Chalu, on the other hand, is set to hit screens in August.
