Kangana Ranaut isn’t done with her ‘silly ex’ Hrithik Roshan. Just when the focus was fading away from the whole, done to death nepotism debate and from her, the Simran actress is back making explosive headlines. This time, she has come out with some shocking details about her ugly breakup with the Kaabil star. In an interview to Rajat Sharma for Aap Ki Adalat, the details of which are out now, and in an interview to Rajeev Masand, the actress has bared her soul as she talked about her fears and frustrations with regards to the relationship that was. Here are some statements that she made so far.
“I have suffered immense humiliation; there is no account of it. I used to cry all night, I couldn’t sleep, I was in stress, faced trauma, mental trauma, emotional trauma”.
“It was my true love for that man and I also wrote many poetries for him, which I never did before for anyone else. But just to defame my image in public, he exposed my private emails. And it was like second death for me.”
“There are so many things that happen in extramarital things really. Look at what happened in the Malayalam (actress) case. Girls get pregnant, they get shot, they get killed for things like these. Of course, I feared for my life.”
“I’m still waiting to meet him face-to-face and exchange two words on this and sort this out, but he’s been running and hiding from me.”
“He (Hrithik Roshan) and his father (Rakesh Roshan) have made fools of themselves, they should apologise to me in public.”
“If they don’t do, then I will continue clarifying it to everyone who has confusion about it.”
Aap Ki Adalat episode is to air tonight and you can expect more shocking revelations from the Queen star. Meanwhile, you can watch Kangana’s interview with Masand here.
Chef first look poster
Thankfully, there was a lot more than just this controversy this week in Bollywood. For one, we saw Saif Ali Khan in and as Chef in the trailer that released on Thursday. The actor impressed in the trailer as he played a doting dad, trying to strike a balance between being a chef and a father who’s there for his kid. His onscreen bond with his son in the film, Svar Kamble looked endearing and promised us a father-son story with some delectable flavours.
Saif was also present for media interactions at the trailer launch where he talked about how he has managed to keep his evenings free for his little one, Taimur.
Kareena and Taimur clicked at the Mumbai airport
While Saif Ali Khan was busy talking about Taimur and spending time with him, we spotted Kareena Kapoor Khan leaving the city along with baby Taimur. The actress was off to Delhi to shoot Veere Di Wedding which went on floors on Friday. Like she always said, he took her baby along to work! The little munchkin looked cute as ever but we couldn’t help but notice how cranky he was while heading inside the airport. Perhaps, he was already missing his daddy Saif who couldn’t accompany the two.
While Kareena and Sonam Kapoor’s film went on floors this week, there were a lot of reports suggesting that Padmavati release has been postponed to April 2018 instead of November 17, 2017. But India.com found an exclusive report straight from the sets of the film about the Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer being very much on schedule. In fact, we also learnt about most part of the film already reaching the post production stage.
Tiger Zinda Hai
Another interesting news that India.com exclusively learnt was about yet another much awaited film of 2017 – Tiger Zinda Hai. While the Salman Khan – Katrina Kaif starrer is touted as an action film, our sources revealed that we can expect a lot of lovely chemistry between the two leads. Action is an important part of the film, but it is not the theme. At its heart, Tiger Zinda Hai is about Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger and Zoya’s (Katrina) love story! Exciting much?
While Padmavati is set to release in November, followed by Tiger Zinda Hai on Christmas 2017, we had two major releases this Friday! Ayushmann Khurrana – Bhumi Pednekar’s Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Ajay Devgn – Emraan Hashmi’s Baadshaho hit screens on September 1.
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (full review) showed promise of bringing to light a taboo topic – ‘erectile dysfunction’ – in a lighter vein. But for me, the main subject got lost in translation and ended up being reduced to a mere joke that the whole family can sit together and laugh about! Matters like – How to deal with it? What is the solution? What is the way ahead for a couple who are caught in a similar situation has been given a pass, happily!
Baadshaho (full review) on the other hand started off well and reached a crest in the first half, showing promise of an equally gripping and entertaining second half. Alas! It ended up in a disappointing climax. The few saving graces were the performances by Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi; and the many punchy dialogues.
All said and done, it wasn’t a great Friday at the movies. Let’s hope next week is better with Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Shreyas Talpade’s Poster Boys (again with a social message) and Arjun Rampal’s Daddy (real life gangster inspired flick) hitting screens on September 8, 2017.
