On the popular talk show Koffee with Karan season 5 when the bold and beautiful Kangana Ranaut called Karan Johar the flagbearer of nepotism, everyone was left shocked. And then what happened next, we all are aware of it. At the star-studded IIFA Awards this when the Nepotism Chant happened all over again, that did not go down well with many Bollywood lovers. But guess what, the filmmaker has once again used the N-word (nepotism).

In conversation with Rajeev Masand during the Indian Film Festival Melbourne (IIFM), Karan Johar was asked about the much debated N-word and his response to it was something unexpected. When Rajeev Masand said “You may not be working with Sridevi but you are producing a film with her daughter, you may not be working with Shahid Kapoor but you’re making a film with his brother,” ‘Should we ask the N-word here’”. To it KJo replied, “Right before I reached here, my mother called me and she says, ‘I beg of you, do not use the word’”.

Karan Johar continued to say, “Because anything I say for or against, is going to be held against me and I’m not about to be trolled all over again. I’ve made my mistakes of actually stretching this issue and talking about it, I’ve already apologised, I’ve expressed my regret. And now I’m in a condition of nepospasm. It’s fear of the word. I get a convulsion immediately. It’s called a nepospasm – fear of the word nepotism.” Keep watching this space for more Bollywood updates.
